1963 Paint by Number Portrait Painting Henry Raeburn 1814 "Boy & Rabbit"


Vintage 1963 paint by number on canvas board reproduction of Sir Henry Raeburn's 1814 portrait painting "Boy and Rabbit." The image depicts a young boy in hat and loose ruffled shirt with a protective arm encircling a pet rabbit eating dandelion leaves. The subject of the original painting was Henry Raeburn Inglis, the son of Raeburn’s stepdaughter. Signed in the lower right corner "Rose Hickey." Inscription is penciled at the back "To Hazel & Gus / From Rose & Jay / Xmas 1963." Displayed in a simple wood frame painted a cream white with gold edge at inner and outermost border.

Condition: In excellent condition. Painting and frame have minor scuffs and spots of wear.
